What is the difference between an interior architect and an architect?
An interior architect designs the layout, space planning and atmosphere of indoor spaces (circulation, light, materials, furniture). An architect works on the building's structure and on planning-permission applications. The two roles are complementary: when a project affects the structure or requires a permit, My Interior Lab works with a partner architect while keeping overall control of the interior.

What is the difference between an interior architect and a decorator?
A decorator dresses an existing space (colours, textiles, accessories) without changing its configuration. An interior architect rethinks the space itself: reshaping volumes, circulation and light, designing custom furniture and coordinating the work on site. My Interior Lab operates at this second level, from design to site supervision.

What are the steps of a project?

Your interior architect remains your point of contact throughout.

Do you also create custom-made furniture?
Yes. Custom furniture is one of My Interior Lab's specialities: pieces designed for a specific space and use, integrated into the overall project, from drawing to installation.

Can you help if my project needs a permit or affects the structure?
Yes. When a project affects the building's structure or requires planning permission, My Interior Lab works with a partner architect who handles those regulatory and technical aspects, while we take care of the interior design and its coherence.

Do you offer advice before buying a property?
Yes. Before a purchase, an interior architect's eye helps assess a property's real potential: volumes, light, circulation, scope for reconfiguration and the likely extent of works. It is an advisory visit that informs your decision before you commit.

How much does an interior architecture project cost?
Every project is unique: the cost depends on the floor area, the scope of the work and the level of customisation (bespoke furniture, site coordination). My Interior Lab provides a tailored quote after a first conversation and, usually, a visit.

How long does a project take?
